Regenerative medicine in aesthetics

چکیده

Regenerative medicine refers to the restoration of form and function damaged diseased tissues by upregulation natural regenerative processes present in human body. Applications dermatology are numerous, ranging from acceleration wound healing, hair restoration, mesenchymal stem cell augmented fat transfer, skin rejuvenation, enhancing results, reducing downtime postprocedure postlaser, etc. In modern aesthetic practice, most prominent among current treatments platelet-rich plasma (PRP), cells, growth factors, recently, exosomes. Most modalities available at lack high-quality evidence supporting their use good quality clinical trials required for optimization cellular source, dose, administration intervals before these deemed acceptable a wider scale.

Tissue Engineered Scaffolds in Regenerative Medicine

Stem cells are self-renewing cells that can be differentiated into other cell types. Conventional in vitro models for studying stem cells differentiation are usually preformed in two-dimensional (2D) cultures. The design of three-dimensional (3D) in vitro models which ideally are supposed to mimic the in vivo stem cells microenvironment is potentially useful for inducing stem cell derived tissu...

Regenerative Medicine

The evidence linking aging and cancer is overwhelming. Findings emerging from the field of regenerative medicine reinforce the notion that aging and cancer are profoundly interrelated in their pathogenetic pathways. We discuss evidence to indicate that age-associated alterations in the tissue microenvironment contribute to the emergence of a neoplastic-prone tissue landscape, which is able to s...
